This is a side project. It's meant to be a fun blog, packed with little nuggets about the English language, culled from a wide variety of sources. Except Wikipedia. Am I the only who thinks Wikipedia articles are about as comprehensible as a particle physicist banging on about the Higgs Boson? I know it's supposed to be erudite and worthy, but dear god they could throw a few jokes in there. Wikipedia writers - lighten up a little!

I'm from the North East of England, South Durham born-and-bred, now living in Whitley Bay.
