This is a blog about the English language. I have a Basic Grammar section over there on the left. Although it's factually correct, I hope it's not dull. I try to raise a laugh or two from what can be a very dreary subject. Who am I? No one special. Read the About section for confirmation.

The sections on the left, under Word Trivia, are jam-packed with interesting and fun nuggets about words and phrases in the English language. (The earliest use of jam-packed was in 1892, in a review about a play in Cardiff. Just like my Grandfather on my mother's side, it's Welsh!)
