ANERY

Scottish kids deciding who was 'it'.

You probably had your own version of who was 'it', like 'One potato, two potato ... '. In parts of Scotland in the 1880s, kids had this:

Anery, twaery, tickery, seven,
Aliby, crackiby, ten or eleven;
Pin-pan, muskidan, Tweedlum.
